If you’re anything like me, you get fired up when someone starts talking about the ingredients in popular foods or the addictive nature of social media. These are two topics that I’m extremely passionate about, and for good reason.

First, let’s talk about food. It’s no secret that many of the foods we consume are filled with dyes, fillers, and unnecessary sugar. These ingredients can lead to health issues, which some doctors prescribe only medication for instead of addressing the root cause. That’s why it’s so important to be mindful of what we’re putting into our bodies.

One tip that has helped me on my journey to eating healthier is to always read the ingredients list. If you come across an ingredient that you can’t pronounce or don’t recognize, take a moment to Google it and learn more about it. This simple step can help you make more informed decisions about what you’re eating, and can even give you more energy and focus throughout the day.

Now let’s talk about social media. It’s no secret that social media is designed to be addictive. The endless scroll of content and notifications can easily pull us in and keep us glued to our screens for hours on end.

The truth is social media can have a negative impact on the mental wellbeing if one isn’t intentional when using it. That’s why it’s important to manage social media usage and not let it manage us. One tip that has helped me is to set a daily cut off time for social media. This allows me to stay connected with others and stay up-to-date on news and current events, but also gives me the space and time to disconnect and recharge.

In addition to these tips, there are a few other things that have helped me on my journey to living a healthy life. Getting up and moving my body throughout the day, prioritizing sleep, and reminding myself that the person who I was yesterday is my only competition are all things that have made a big difference for me.

At the end of the day, health goes beyond what we put in our bodies. It also includes what we feed our minds. By being intentional about our food choices, social media usage, and daily habits, we can all live happier, healthier lives.
